Has it been almost a year??

I guess I’ve felt very little inspiration for some time now. I have short stories, poetry and prose to add but I don’t get many hits here. I’m thinking of making a separate Facebook page and setting it up more like a blog. At least there’s a better chance my friends and family will see my stuff. Does anyone know the easiest way to do this?

Please bear with me as I strive to work at making this blog something people will actually want to visit now and again. I’m afraid I’ve been hit hard with a serious case of “The Mean Reds”, as Holly Golightly so eloquently described those times when only sleep brings peace. And the thought of leaving my bedroom still trerrifies me, as does reading, writing or anything that has brought me pleasure in the past. I won’t bore u all with details, but I wanted to explain….as if it’s explainable. But I WILL be back! Stronger and ready to rock!

Love to all

In Dreams….

This poem was “given” to me in dreams on 2 consecutive nights. It came in the “voice” of my beloved cousin George Miller, the first just hours after his passing from this world. I was unaware he was gone until the second night when he visited me with the 2nd verse. I wrote it exactly as I heard it, and it wasn’t until after I had put it all together that I realized each line contains 3 syllables, a structured way of writing far different than my usual “stream of consciousness” style. After reading over it I realized that the line “Coyote sings” was 4 syllables, but in the same moment I again heard his voice say no it is pronounced ky’-ote.

I first posted the above on February 19, 2014. Soon it will have been a year since we shared our last laugh. And I have missed you every day since. I love you beyond words. Thank you for this gift. Sleep well Sweet Prince.

~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In loving memory of a brave warrior. He fought long and hard to stay here with those of us who wanted SO very much to keep him. But he had a full if far too short life, and was a blessing to all who knew him. And even now, if you listen closely you will hear his words echoing on the wind as he closed his eyes, “It is a good day to die”.
For Sue and Donovan Miller
Desert sky
Eagle’s flight
Coyote sings
Deepest night
Journey long
Fallen trees
Shed no tear
Spirit free
Faith is strong
Sons await
Loving arms
Heaven’s gate
I am here
Lonesome Dove
Bound as one
Endless love
Looks like I must upgrade to add MP3 files SOOOO I’m thinking about using a Music section anyway, for poetry and lyrics I wrote knowing they were songs. PLEASE feel free to add your own…I would love to read whatever u want to share. I promise not to critique (unless u ask my opinion). Let me know ur out there people!
Thanks ever so much….
3121To my followers and each and every person that makes time in their (I’m assuming) chaotic lives, to read anything I’ve posted. I know I have been amiss when it comes to updating this blog, but what might just light the proverbial fire under my posterior would be if some of you would leave ME something to read. I’m not campaigning for likes…even negative feedback is always welcome 😀 Of course a little less than positive ones but it helps tremendously to know who you are…what you like or don’t.
That said, I plan to do some housekeeping over the next few days, weeks?…especially regarding photos and quotes. I get pretty sick of the same old same old I can imagine it’s not helping me get readers. In addition, feel free to submit anything you feel you would like to see here, whether it be your own work or that of a friend. And if ANYONE knows where I can find Dark, Gothic, and/or Creepy themes that are still available, PLEASE let me know. There will be a prize for the person whose theme or recommended theme I use. OK maybe not a huge prize, but I think I still have a few granola bars around here somewhere. Or yogurt? Everybody loves yogurt, right?
Lastly, I would like to start a new menu option for music I would like to recommend or review. If you are in possession of any music you would like to submit, and it’s original I will gladly post it and offer my review and reviews of others. If it’s not your work but simply something you would like to share feel free to do so.
I (not so) patiently await your feedback and submissions, and thank you again for stopping by!
Walk in beauty…
